12th leg race to Nigeria masters: U. Anoruo maintains lead on first day of the tournament.

It’s the second round of the race to Nigeria masters Leg 12, the greens of the arsenal golf course is soaked with the sweat of 5 determined players as they battle it hard in what seems to be a very challenging tournament.

With 3 over 75 in the second round U. Anoruo secured first place on the leaderboard, his game had a combination of 12 pars, 1 double bogey, 3 bogeys and 2 birdies, he now sits 1 strokes ahead of his closest contender.

In an interview with the African tour correspondent U. Anoruo expressed great excitement about his performance, he hopes to make the cut.
Coming close in second place is the overzealous G. Inalegwu , who moved up from 3rd place to 2nd place on the leaderboard, finishing his round with 1 under 71 to make a gross total of 148 after 36 holes.
I struggled a bit with my strategy causing me to miss a few chances but I'm happy to still be top of the leaderboard even though by hares breath. I look forward to giving it my best shot’’ said Inalegwu as he reassuringly talked about maintaining a strategy that works.
