Third round (leg7) of the Race to Nigeria masters (Pro/Am) tournament

7th leg race to Nigeria masters: G. Inalegwu slept on it and allowed his place on the leaderboard to be taken by his close contenders

It’s the 3rd day of the tournament and the Leaderboard have been taken over by two zealous golfer.
Topping the board is two amazing golfer; D. Ali and U. Anoruo who played 1 under par (71) to tie in first place. Ali started the round with a par, bogey in 2nd hole, birdie in 3rd, 4th, par in 5th, bogey in hole 6th, par in 7th, 8th hole and eventually finishing the front nine with a birdie to make 35. With a par in 10th, 11th hole, birdie in 12th, par in 13th, bogey in 14th, 15th, birdie in hole 16th, 17th and a par in 18th hole saw him coming in with 36, finishing the round with 1 under par (71) while Anoruo’s game on the other hand was a combination of 11 par, 3 bogey and 4 birdies which saw him finishing with 1 under par (71), resulting into a tie with D. Ali at the top of the board.

“It’s quite an interesting but a challenging game because am only leading with 4 scores coupled with the fact that am tying at the top and the game of golf could be funny at times but I look forward to coming victorious at the finals”, Anoruo said in a chat with the africantour correspondent.
In second position with 4 stroke difference from the leading contenders is G. Inalegwu who top the board in round 1 and 2 but faltered in todays game when he played 7 par, 8 bogey and 3 birdies to earn 7 over par (79).

In a media chat with Inalegwu, the golfer said, “This was a dreadfully disappointing round, I figured it wouldn’t be quite as easy as the first two days, it’s just not the way the game of golf works but tomorrow is another day, I promise to outdo myself to get back to the top and make a cut”.
There is a huge anticipation on who will break the tie between U. Anoruo and D. Ali, stay tuned as each players battle their way through the final round of the tournament.
